The Ministry operates through specialised Directorates that provide policy, administrative, technical and operational support across its mandate areas.
MEST Directorates
Each Directorate performs defined policy, technical, administrative or support functions within the Ministry.
Leads the technical processes for the development of the Ministry's policies, plans, programmes, projects and budgets, and coordinates monitoring and evaluation of the Ministry's strategies and interventions.
View DirectorateResponsible for the design, use, maintenance and development of research, statistics and information systems to support Ministry-wide planning, decision-making and service delivery.
View DirectorateDevelops human resource policies, strategies and programmes to support sector-wide performance and continuous institutional growth and development.
View DirectorateProvides the administrative services, facilities and internal support systems required for the effective operation of the Ministry.
View DirectorateResponsible for the effective management of the Ministry's financial resources in accordance with applicable public financial management laws, regulations and Government policies.
View DirectorateProvides technical expertise and guidance for the development of policies, plans, regulations, standards, programmes and projects relating to Ghana's environment.
View DirectorateProvides technical leadership for the development, coordination and application of science and technology policies, programmes and initiatives for national development.
View DirectorateManages the Ministry's procurement services and provides technical guidance to ensure the efficient, transparent and compliant acquisition of goods, works and services.
