Finance Directorate

The Finance Directorate is responsible for the effective management of the Ministry’s financial resources in accordance with applicable public financial management laws, regulations and Government policies.

The Directorate supports financial planning, budgeting, accounting, expenditure control, financial reporting and accountability to ensure that public resources are managed efficiently and in support of the Ministry’s programmes and operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and implementation of the Ministry’s budget.
• Maintain appropriate accounting and financial records.
• Monitor expenditure against approved budgets.
• Prepare financial reports and provide financial information to management.
• Support compliance with public financial management requirements.
• Promote effective internal financial controls and accountability.
