Procurement and Supply Chain Management Directorate

Manages the Ministry's procurement services and provides technical guidance to ensure the efficient, transparent and compliant acquisition of goods, works and services.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Management Directorate manages procurement services and provides technical guidance for the Ministry’s procurement operations.

Its activities support the efficient, economical, transparent and non-discriminatory use of public resources in accordance with applicable public procurement laws, regulations and policies.

Key Functions

  • Implement procurement procedures and guidelines in accordance with the relevant legal and regulatory framework.
  • Coordinate the preparation and implementation of annual procurement plans for goods, works and services.
  • Review procurement evaluation reports relating to consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  • Facilitate procurement audits and compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate meetings of the Ministry’s procurement governance bodies as required.
  • Support implementation of procurement policies, strategies, reforms and internal controls.
  • Prepare procurement documentation, contracts, guidelines and instructions.
  • Monitor compliance with procurement contractual terms and conditions.

Planning and Contracting Unit

The Planning and Contracting Unit supports sourcing strategies, supplier engagement, quality assurance, logistics and the movement and clearance of procured goods.
