PROF. FRIMPONG-BOATENG PRESENT TRICYCLES TO PLASTIC WASTE COLLECTORS

The Minister for MESTI Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng has presented 5 tricycles, 500 waste picking devices and 500 gloves, donated by Nestle Ghana Limited, to the Pure Water Waste Collectors Association as part of efforts to manage the plastics waste menace in Ghana.

The Minister also witnessed the signing of MOU between Nestle GH LTD and the Association at a ceremony in Accra. Under the MOU, Nestle will provide 10 tricycles, 1000 waste picking devices and 1000 gloves to the Association whereas the Association is expected to collect a minimum of fifty (50) metric tons of plastics waste very month over a 2year period.
