This Directorate is tasked with managing the financial resources of the Ministry in accordance with relevant policies, regulations, and guidelines. It ensures that the Ministry’s financial activities are conducted efficiently and transparently, supporting the overall mission of the Ministry through effective financial stewardship. The Directorate is composed of three key units: the Accounts Unit, which is responsible for the preparation and disbursement of funds appropriated to the Ministry, ensuring that financial resources are allocated and used as intended; the Treasury Unit, which handles the verification, validation, and processing of source documents for the release of funds on the GIFMIS platform, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial protocols; and the Financial Reporting Unit, which prepares reports on the returns and expenditure of funds, providing essential oversight and accountability for the Ministry’s financial operations. Through these units, the Directorate maintains a robust financial management system that supports the Ministry’s objectives.
