6th Edition of the Merck Foundation Annual Conference – Accra

The Minister for MESTI, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng has warned the public against serving hot food in single used plastic saying that such practices have the potential of causing cancer over a long period of time.

The Minister said this when he joined a High-Level Ministerial Panel to discuss how to deploy innovative initiatives in addressing sensitive health issues as part of the 6th Merck Foundation Annual Conference which opened in Accra today.

The two-day conference which seeks to improve the health and the wellbeing of people and advance their lives through science and technology was officially opened by H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo and the First Lady, H.E. Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
