Ghana’s Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Plays Active Role in Africa Climate Summit Discussions

Nairobi, Kenya – Today, Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Ghana’s Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, actively participated in ministerial discussions addressing the African carbon market during the ongoing Africa Climate Summit held in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
Accompanied by esteemed delegates, including the Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, and the Director of Environment, Dr. Peter Justice Dery, Hon. Dr. Kwaku Afriyie showcased Ghana’s commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action on the international stage.
In addition to his engagements at the Africa Climate Summit, the honorable Minister is set to accompany His Excellency the President of Ghana for several crucial bilateral meetings, including:
- Rt Hon. Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth (London).
- Mr. Jang Sung Min, Special Presidential Envoy of the Republic of Korea.
- Ban Ki-Moon, President of the Global Green Growth Institute.
These meetings aim to strengthen international cooperation and foster global partnerships to combat climate change and promote sustainable development.
