Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, Minister for MESTI has reiterated Ghana’s commitment to the restoration of 100 million hectares of degraded land under the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiatives (AFR100).
He said MESTI is working with stakeholders to restore degraded landscape in the Northern Savannah Region of Ghana through the Sustainable Land and Water Management Project.
“Combating desertification, preserving land and restoring degraded lands are crucial for human existence because from the food we eat, to the cloth we wear, and the house we live in, everything stems from land resources,” he said.
