Inter-ministerial Committee on Ghana’s Energy Transition Plan

Ghana’s Minister for Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, along with the Chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee on Ghana’s Energy Transition Plan, and Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Herbert Krapa, welcomed the Damilola SDG7 and SEforALLorg team to Accra.

The meeting was held at the MESTI Conference Room, and focused on Ghana’s ambitions for clean energy transition and climate goals

During the inter-ministerial committee meeting, key ministers from sectors including Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation, Finance, Energy, Transport, Lands & Natural Resources, Works & Housing, and Agriculture, engaged in discussions regarding the Energy Transition and Investment Plan. SEforALLorg’s support in developing this plan for the Ghanaian government was highlighted.

Once finalized, this comprehensive plan is poised to contribute significantly to Ghana’s climate and developmental objectives. The day concluded with the committee submitting the final report to His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic, for consideration.
