On 8th July 2044, the Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI), Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford (MP), delivered the opening remarks at the Italy-Africa Heads of Space Agencies Conference in Rome.
The Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) participated in the esteemed Italy-Africa Heads of Space Agencies Conference held in Rome on the 8th of July. The conference served as a pivotal platform for fostering partnerships and exploring opportunities in the realm of space technology and exploration.

During the conference, the Director General of the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI) provided a comprehensive overview to the Honorable Minister on the various types and applications of satellites. From communication satellites facilitating global connectivity to Earth observation satellites enabling precise environmental monitoring, the discussion illuminated the transformative impact of satellite technology across diverse sectors.
