National Workshop on Operationalizing the Data Reporting Tool (DaRT) for Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs)
Abokobi, Tuesday, 20th August 2024 – The Environment Directorate of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) hosted a landmark workshop focused on the operationalization of the Data Reporting Tool (DaRT) for Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). The event, held in Abokobi, represents a crucial advancement in improving the efficiency and accuracy of environmental data management and reporting in Ghana.
The workshop convened key stakeholders, including representatives from government agencies, biodiversity-related Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and international partners, to delve into the implementation of the DaRT system. This innovative tool is designed to streamline the processes of data collection, reporting, and analysis, ensuring that Ghana fulfills its obligations under various MEAs with enhanced precision and timeliness.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in interactive sessions, in-depth discussions, and case study reviews to familiarize themselves with the functionalities of DaRT and to learn best practices for its implementation. By the conclusion of the event, attendees were well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate DaRT into their existing environmental management frameworks, thereby improving the quality and reliability of their reporting processes.
