MESTI Hosts End of Year Staff Durbar to Reflect on Achievements and Set New Goals for 2025
The Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) successfully organized its much-anticipated End of Year Staff Durbar today, Friday, 23rd December 2024, at the Ministry’s. This annual event brought together MESTI staff from across various directorate /unit to celebrate the year’s milestones, reflect on key achievements, and chart the way forward for 2025.
The Durbar was an occasion for both reflection and motivation, with the Chief Director of MESTI offering a comprehensive review of the Ministry’s activities and accomplishments over the past year. The Chief Director expressed appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of the MESTI team, highlighting the Ministry’s role in driving innovation, promoting sustainability, and advancing science and technology in Ghana.
In his remarks, the Honourable Minister of MESTI also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of the Ministry’s work in shaping Ghana’s future through policies and initiatives aimed at addressing climate change, boosting technological advancement, and supporting research and innovation. The Minister noted that while 2024 had seen significant progress, there is still much to be done in the year ahead. He outlined key priorities for 2025, which include strengthening partnerships with both local and international stakeholders, expanding MESTI’s outreach programs, and advancing research in areas that contribute to national development.
The staff durbar was not only an opportunity for leadership to communicate their vision for the future but also a time for staff to engage in open dialogue, ask questions, and provide feedback on the Ministry’s operations. The event culminated in a moment of unity, with staff members reaffirming their commitment to the Ministry’s core mission of fostering sustainable development through science, technology, and innovation.
