Korean Investor Delegation, Make Group, Pays Courtesy Call on MEST Minister and Engages with Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA)

Make Group, a delegation of investors from the Republic of Korea, paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MEST), Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed (MP), to extend their congratulations on his recent appointment and to discuss potential collaborations on a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) project. During the meeting, the delegation shared their expertise in waste management and energy generation technologies, focusing on the feasibility of implementing a WTE project in Ghana. The proposed project aims to convert municipal solid waste into valuable energy, addressing both waste management and energy generation challenges in the country.

Minister Muhammed expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit and their interest in contributing to Ghana’s sustainable development goals. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting innovative projects that align with environmental sustainability and energy production.

Following their engagement with the Minister, the Make Group continued their visit to key Ghanaian institutions. They paid a visit to the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA) to explore potential investment opportunities in the country’s maritime sector. This visit underscored the group’s continued interest in expanding their portfolio and fostering collaborations with Ghana in various sectors.

The meetings with both MEST and GPHA mark an important step toward strengthening the partnership between Ghana and South Korea, particularly in the areas of green technology, sustainable development, and maritime investments.
