Imperial College London Officials Meet with Hon. MESTI Minister
Accra, June 20, 2024 – Officials from Imperial College London paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Ophilia Mensah Hayford (MP), Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI), to discuss plans for establishing a campus in Ghana.
Imperial College London, ranked second globally after MIT, is set to open four Global Centres in the USA, India, Singapore, and Ghana. These centres will focus on advancing Deep Tech, Research and Development, Innovation, and providing support to startups.
During the meeting, discussions centered on MESTI’s pivotal role as a key government partner in this initiative. The collaboration aims to foster scientific research, technological innovation, and entrepreneurship in Ghana, contributing significantly to the nation’s development agenda.
