Hon. Ophelia Mensah-Hayford Launched Air Quality Management Plan at International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies 2024

Accra, 5th September 2024 – On the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies 2024, MESTI was honored to announce the successful launch of the Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The event took place in Accra and was led by the Honorable Minister of MESTI, Ophelia Mensah-Hayford (MP).

The AQMP was unveiled as a pivotal initiative aimed at enhancing air quality and addressing environmental challenges across the nation. In her keynote address, Hon. Mensah-Hayford highlighted the critical importance of clean air for public health and environmental sustainability. She detailed how the plan would serve as a comprehensive framework for improving air quality management through effective policies, innovative strategies, and collaborative efforts.

The launch event also served as an important platform for raising awareness about the significance of clean air. The ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, environmental advocates, and members of the public, all dedicated to supporting better air quality.
