Hon. Minister Participated in the 2nd Edition of the African Forum for Research and Innovation (FARI 2025) in Cotonou, Benin

On May 8, 2025, the Hon. Minister for Environment, Science, and  Technology  participated in the 2nd Edition of the African Forum for Research and Innovation (FARI 2025), held in Cotonou, Benin.

FARI is a premier continental platform that brings together government leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators, development partners, and private sector actors to strengthen the science, technology, and innovation (STI) landscape across Africa. The 2025 edition focused on advancing the African Union’s Agenda 2063 through impactful STI collaboration and investment.

During the forum, the Hon. Minister took part in strategic dialogues, expert panels, and technical workshops aimed at fostering policy alignment, innovation-driven development, and regional partnerships. Ghana’s delegation showcased key national initiatives supporting research commercialization, youth-led innovation, digital transformation, and inclusive development through science and technology.

The Hon. Minister’s participation underscored Ghana’s commitment to building a resilient innovation ecosystem and contributing meaningfully to Africa’s sustainable development through knowledge-sharing and regional cooperation.
