Director STI Opens 2-Day Training Workshop on Product Development with Genome Editing

5th September 2024 – MESTI was pleased to announce the successful conclusion of a significant 2-day training workshop on Product Development with the application of Genome Editing (GEd), which was officially inaugurated by Mr. Kwamena Quaison, Director of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), earlier today.

The workshop was designed to equip scientists with in-depth knowledge and practical tools related to GEd technology. The primary objective was to enhance participants’ understanding of the science behind GEd products and to provide them with the skills needed to apply these techniques effectively in their research and development efforts.

In his opening address, Mr. Quaison emphasized the transformative potential of genome editing in advancing scientific research and developing innovative solutions across various fields, including agriculture and medicine.
