AGI Paid Courtesy Call on Hon. Minister of MEST to Strengthen Collaboration on National Development
On Monday, 12th May 2025, the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) paid a courtesy call on the Honorable Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MEST), Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed (MP), at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The meeting provided a platform for both parties to discuss ways to deepen collaboration in critical areas such as waste management, environmental protection, research and development, and innovation. A significant part of the discussion also focused on preparations for the upcoming National Science and Technology Fair, which aimed to showcase cutting-edge innovations and foster linkages between industry players, researchers, and policymakers.
Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed emphasized the importance of partnership between government and industry as pivotal to driving sustainable development and achieving Ghana’s Vision 2030 goals. The AGI representatives echoed this sentiment, highlighting the critical role of industries in adopting green technologies and supporting environmental stewardship.
Both the Ministry and AGI expressed their unwavering commitment to jointly explore innovative and sustainable solutions that would advance the country’s development agenda, enhance industrial competitiveness, and create a greener economy for future generations.
The visit marked a renewed spirit of cooperation between MEST and AGI, with plans for follow-up engagements and collaborative projects in the near future.
